THE LEADERS OF THE VANGUARD

Nijah & Chantanique met while completing graduate coursework toward obtaining Master Degrees in Applied Psychology in 2011. Through many years of providing therapeutic services to underserved communities, they recognized mental health care is most effective when tailored to the needs and context of each individual, couple, and family. With this in mind, they founded Conscious Corner Mental Health Counseling, PLLC to extend their knowledge, safety, and love to voices who have screamed for care, but have rarely felt heard.

THE MISSION

Conscious Corner Mental Health Counseling, PLLC is a community of Safety, Security, Cultural Expression and Commitment to cultivating a positive sense of self and heightened self-esteem.

Conscious Corner welcomes, encourages, and supports clients in  processing emotions they are often taught to suppress and are committed to assisting persons in gaining a deeper awareness of feelings and thoughts. We move to foster understanding of how feelings and thoughts connect to adaptive and/or maladaptive behavior patterns that range across difference stages of life and a variety of socio-emotional connections and experiences.

Our well-trained clinicians, The Vanguard, specialize in a variety of modalities and are committed to building connection with and providing quality therapeutic services to people of all ages; from all walks of life.

We uphold and respect individuality, community, and empowerment.
