NIJAH F. AFFLIC, LMHC

I am a graduate of New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. I am a certified LGBTQ+ Counselor and am trained in Functional Family Therapy. I specialize in individual/couples work geared toward addressing the root of current/past maladaptive behavior patterns that manifest in overall functioning (i.e. interpersonal and romantic relationships, self-esteem, motivation, addictions, and general mood.)

There’s often fear associated with doing self work, checking trauma and finding a safe and genuine space to initiate that process. I aim to offer a pure experience and room for self awareness, motivation, thought modification and behavior change.

CHANTANIQUE MORRISON, LMHC

I am a graduate of New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. Being aware of our internal experiences is one of the key foundations of self-healing. By fostering a deeper understanding of who we are, where we’ve been and what we’ve experienced, we are able to form the foundation from which healing can begin. As a clinician, I offer a partnership for individuals as they journey toward overcoming past traumas, insecurities, and other behavior patterns that impede their ability to live fulfilled lives.

I work with adults, teens and families experiencing issues related to low self-esteem, domestic violence, poor communication skills, substance abuse and/or other mental health concerns.

I utilize various techniques including mindfulness, positive psychology, cognitive-behavior, trauma-informed and strengths-based methods to build upon an individual's unique strengths and skills.

My practice is social-justice oriented, by working with clients to explore the impact of external factors such as racism, sexism, classism, etc., on one’s mental health and overall functioning. Through extensive support, guidance and empathy, I committed to your overall well-being and safety!
